JASSHOBADEN is waiting for her husband from years but neither he comes nor he accepts.

Narendra Modi, current Prime Minister of India has acknowledged for the first time that he is married to Jashodaben, a retired schoolteacher who he separated from decades ago.

In a poll affidavit that he filed as BJP's candidate from Vadodara in Gujarat, Mr Modi, 63, had wrote the name "Jashodaben" in the column for spouse that he had left blank in the last four assembly elections he contested in the past.
Mr Modi had said during a rally "he had no family ties, not married any one so why would he had corrupted?

. Mr Modi, who has been ruling Gujarat since 2001, has left the field for "spouse" blank in four assembly polls now he says time he says he has no information about his wife's assets and other details; the Gujarat Congress says his nomination should be rejected for this.

Soon after, Mr Modi's older brother Somabhai Damodar Modi, has explained in a statement that marriage was a formality and he gave it up to serve the country because their family had married them in teenage, but he walked away because he wanted to serve the country. "What happened 45-50 years ago should be seen in the context of a poor and superstitious family," he said, urging Indians to vote for his brother.

Jashodaben, 62, a retired school teacher, recently told a newspaper that they were married when Mr Modi was 17 and split three years into their marriage. She said since then "we have never been in touch". She reportedly draws a monthly government teacher's pension of Rs. 14,000 and lives with a brother in a village in western Gujarat.

Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi attacked Mr Modi for never acknowledging his wife in the past, saying at a rally in Jammu and Kashmir, "We don't know how many elections he has fought, but for the first time he has written that he is married. In Delhi, they talk about respecting women... but his wife's name never found its way into the affidavit."

while as the Dr. ZAKIR SAYS, Supreme Court of India, refused to entertain a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by Mr Sunil Sarawagi complaining that even though its required under Election Law, Mr Narendra Modi while filling up his Election candidature form and submitting his affidavit, has not furnished the name and other details of Smt. Jashodaben N. Modi even though she is his wedded wife. After SC’s refusal, Mr Sarawagi had taken up the matter in details with Election Commission of India that the format of affidavit should be amended to specifically include the following fields:

1. Marital status: Married / Unmarried / Divorced / Separated / Widowed.
2. Date of Marriage: Date – Month – Year
3. Name of Spouse:BUT ALL IN VAIN just amendments in candidate are made  for the next only
